Home Foreclosed in May/MINNESOTA

I tried calling my lender. I tried selling the house myself. I tried everything, but to no avail. My house foreclosed sometime in May 2007. I hadn't made a payment since March 2006, so I knew it wouldn't be long and I moved out of the house gradually last summer. I forwarded all my mail to my new address. I periodically would go by, check on the house, get a few more items from it, mow the lawn, etc. I even kept the utilities on. I drove by it the other day and there was a For Sale sign in the yard. This was the first time I learned that the house actually foreclosed. I have since read up a little on Minnesota's foreclosure laws and it seems to me I was supposed to have received letters about this and/or be served personally with a notice to vacate the premises. I called the realtor and they said the remaining property I had left inside had been "trashed out." I know county records take a long time to be updated, but Anoka county still lists me as the owner. What can I do? I don't think they took all the proper legal steps. Someone should have at least notified me that I had 24 hours to vacate. I would have been there for sure to get my things out. PLEASE HELP!!
