Check MN statute section 582.031 re: lender right of entry, redemption, and abandonment.

MN statutes are very specific concerning guidelines for mortgages executed after 12/31/89 and how the redemption period and issues of abandonment should be treated.

Last I checked, there was no tie in to "taxes" ...uI stand corrected if you can provide factual support data (law) lending to this assertion.

Bottom line, my guess is that the property foreclosed earlier than you have suggested.

A quick call to the foreclosing attorney/trustee will move this dialogue from the speculative to the concrete.

That's where I'd start were I you.

Once determined, you'll want to weigh the cost of soliciting an attorney to process this with your potential return.

Based on the info you've provided, the pursuit doesn't seem worth the payoff.

...unless you left a painting by one of the master's behind.
