You didn’t say if you’re thinking of keeping the property or walking away from the property? If you’re thinking of keeping it call your lender and speak with the loss mitigation department and what your current lender can offer to help you meeting your mortgage payments. If you’re thinking of walking away, you best to consult with an experienced short pay realtor. There is repercussion with some mortgage liens. You’ll need to speak with an attorney in your states. If you decided to do a short sales, ask your realtor about 1099’s that a lender what issue you for any discount they may have to give in order to complete a sort sales.
