Predictions really are impossible. I tend to follow foreclosure/default news and I really don't have any idea where this is all going to end.
Servicers/lenders are dealing with huge amounts of defaults/late pays, what an individual servicer/lender will do at any given point is, to me, impossible to determine.
There used to be fairly common patterns that could reasonably predict lender actions, those are all thrown out the window.
I've seen California 20% discount off FMV short sale offers with absolutely no buyer interest. I'm not even trying to predict where real estate markets are going.
