Taxes
Posted by Tee30 on September 25, 2007 at 11:58:02: Hello, I go to settlement on a short sale this week and had a question about property taxes. Since I'm selling the title company is trying to sue me for taxes they paid for me for the first half of this year after they know they did alot of un-handed things at settlement and after they received the bill which I should have since I was the owner at that point they paid them instead and sending it to me and now want to sue me for their money. Once the sale is complete, can they still come after me for taxes on the property I know longer own? I have my agent working on possibly getting me a waiver release so anything tied to the home I would not be liable for. Is this true?
