I just got a letter in the mail today saying that I have to have about $10000.00 in mortgage and lawyer fees in 5 days or they will start foreclosure. I am 4 months behind. My house is for sale and has a buyer but he will be closing in late December. It is the weekend and I won't be talking to my lawyer until Monday. Does any of you know if I can still sell my house and close in late December even though my bank has given me 5 days to come up with the back payments? I live in New York.
