You are right, our experiences do differ.
I have had ocassion to speak with the Assistant Secretary of HUD, who is also the commissioner of the FHA. In fact, I hope to include my interview with Commission Montgomery in my upcoming book, Fight Foreclosure! due out in March....
Your #3 above as it relates to the deductability of MI premiums is good, but the rest, in my opinion, is window dressing. Time will tell.
