I'm sorry to hear about your situation. As NJD suggested in his post, seeking
Chapter 13 bankruptcy protection is an option to keep your home. Bear in
mind that the success of Chapter 13 filers in obtaining a discharge is minimal
(this is not something that your attorney will probably tell you). In other
words, according to studies, out of 100 people who file for Chapter 13 bankruptcy protection, the great majority never complete their payment
plans, never obtain a discharge of the debt and go back to foreclosure. I have
