Nobody can tell you for certain why that particular sheriff's sale was adjourned. Some possible reasons include the lender not wanting to take it back just yet, the mortgagors filed for bankruptcy and the sheriff sale was adjourned due to an automatic stay of relief, or perhaps some paperwork was not in order. Who knows?
