moving & not sellling

We are moving out of state and cannot sell our home. In addition, we have 2 rental properties, one in which we will be living in when we move back to MI. the other one is occupied. We cant not afford to pay 2 mortages. What happpens when you stop making mortage payments? What does filing bankrupcy do to your credit? And how long does it take improve your
credit score?
