foreclosure or Bankruptcy

I own 15 houses in the Florida area and 5 of my properties are currently in pre foreclosure.Is it better to file bankruptcy or try to short sale and if they dont sell do a DIL? Had a very high credit score and credit is getting ruined very quickly, trying to get the best advice to help save credit and what the best long term solution to help rebuild credit would be? alot of people have told me that bankruptcy is easier to rebuild credit later rather than a foreclosure. would greatly appreciate any advice.
