Ohio Sheriff Sale - HELP

Our situation is very unusual...saw an attorney today, but maybe someone out there has experienced the hell we are going through today.
Back last spring I checked our property tax records online and to my shock it said we were delinquent. We called Countrywide (CW)to find out we did not have an escrow account as we were told at closing we did (our bad, we did not check more clearly). Countrywide said we had up till 12/07 to bring the taxes up to date. No problem. We received Foreclosure Oct 07 - call CW and told they were still our agent, but the paper was sold to another bank. They advised we call the attorney, who said for us to work with CW. We offered to pay CW the full amount due, but an agent said we could refinance and get a lower interest rate and he put us in workout 11/07. We called almost weekly asking where were the papers, so we could wrap this up. We have dates and names of whom we spoke with at CW. Kept getting told it was taking longer than expected...California fires last fall, etc. Faxed new financials to their Plano Tx office and told they received.
Today we receive at our front door that we must leave premise by 7/15/08! Immediately called an attorney and talked with CW - CW said the bank bought the house and we had to deal with them. They had no contact # for the bank. We called the attorney on the notice to find out he did this for CW! Yet, CW says it is now being handled by the bank. Stories never the same!
Our attorney says it appears CW did not discuss with the bank who bought the paper last year that we were working with them, and more than likely the bank that bought the house is probably unaware we were in work out with CW. We have everything documented, but the attorney today said the left and right do not talk and it appears our only option at this time is to do an emergency delay on the eviction, which will give us 3-4 months for the attorney's to see if the bank that bought the house will work with us. Or we could file Chapter 13 also giving us time. All we want to do is keep our home....it appears even with all of our documentation with CW they have no responsibility in this matter. I am finding this shocking!
Has anyone experienced something so bizarre as us? We are not fools...if we could not afford the house we would have done a short sale. Please any advise that may help our situation will be appreciated.'
