Getting married in June of 09. Will Live in my current house that is an hours drive from her house. Don't want two houses or to be in the landlord business renting hers. Wondering if need to have her stop making payments to satisfy delinquency. Struggling with integrity issue of it but have to wonder what her mortgage company was thinking when she refinanced 100% and for more than house was ever worth a few years ago. Blame enough on both sides I suspect, wish I was in the picture then to have done something about it. But done is done and now I face the prospect of paying $20,000 to save her credit which when married I will not need, besides which, I don,t have the $20,000 to begin with.
