Absolutely. What is sad is that many don't do anything. As stated earlier, they stick their heads in the sand. Many of the options that are available have set time limits. Once passed, that option is gone.
A couple of years ago I read that some 80% of those foreclosed never talked to their lender about options. The last numbers I have seen are well above half. Even with all the information out there (the hotlines, public websites, goverment agencies and more)some 60-65% never talk to their lender.
And in my state the help lines are even printed on the foreclosures forms as a statutory requirement.
Sad.
