Was listening to a radio show yesterday on foreclosures and they were interviewing the San Diego City attorney who is trying to implement some new regs on foreclosures and workouts making both lenders AND borrowers more responsible. The interviewer mentioned youwalkaway.com and the fact that it is (I think) based in San Diego.
Well, you could literally hear the attorney sitting up on that comment. He said to the affect that anyone just walking away without attempting to do anything more was just as irresponsible as lenders not willing to even consider loss mitigation.
"We will be investigating this site immediately."
