Stopmyforeclosue is a complete scam-stay away from them, as they will hurt you more than help you!!!

About 5 months ago, I was in a serious bind with my house about to get foreclosed. The mortgage servicing company was charging me $400 a month for insurance I already had..and were adding an late fees to my already outrageously high interest mortgage (13.3%). My wife had cancer and my credit wasnt good and I was forced to pull the equity out of my house at any rate to cover the expenses. The additional $400 a month and late fees had me missing my payments.

I felt that a professional service would be the best route, to help me get everything straightened out with this mess. I had the money to start making payments again, but needed the insurance back fees taken off and a better rate to afford the payments. I didnt think it was going to be that difficult because of the government coming out with all of the new programs, to help homeowners like myself from losing our homes.

I decided to use stopmyforeclosure.net to help me out, as they seemed very nice and promised me they would take care of everything. I quickly sent them their $1200, as time was not on my side. I waited almost 2 weeks without any contact from their so-called negotiator.

After calling and screaming at them-I received a call that night. She was not the most pleasant person in the world and told me she can't do anything until I get her back the information she was going to send me.

I filled out the paperwork the next night and faxed them to her as instructed. I didnt have any other communication with her for almost 3 weeks. I called her to find out what was going on and she assured me that everything was being worked out and I should be receiving something from my mortgage servicer that week.

What I received, was all the back payments owed, plus the insurance fees they were charging me along with late fees-all added together. The letter said, in order to stop us from proceeding with the foreclosure, you will need to submit $36,000 by this date. Pretty much the exact invoices I was receiving from them monthly.

I then received a letter from my mortgage servicer informing me my mortgage had been sold and as of this date, I would need to deal with them. When I asked my stopmyforeclosure agent what this meant for me and what I should do, she said that we want to make a deal with my existing mortgage service provider before that date.

7 days before my mortgage was getting transferred to the other company, she called me and said she worked out a deal for me. They took the $36,000 and bundled into a 1 year arm at the 13.3% rate. She recommended that I take the offer, as it was only way I was going to stop the foreclosure. When I asked her about trying to negotiate something with the new mortgage holder, she said that I will most likely get the same offer and lose my house.

Something didnt seem right and I decided to call the company that had bought the mortgage and find out what I could do. They told me to wait for the mortgage to get transferred and call them, they would be more than willing to try and work something out. When I told my stopmyforeclosure agent about my conversation, she got very snippy and said I shouldnt have called them-and now she was going to have to start the process all over again.

I sent her the new mortgage owners information so she could get started. Another 3 weeks went by and I heard nothing from her. I then received a certified letter from their attorney with the date of the foreclosure. I decided to take things into my own hands and called the mortgage company myself. After a 30 minute conversation with a very nice lady, she told me they will tell the attorney to put a hold on the foreclosure. She sent me the documents that needed to be filled out-and go figure, they were the same documents that my stopmyforeclosure agent sent me.

I quickly filled out the same information, sent it over and told her I had insurance and they were charging me $400
