questions about moving after foreclosure

Hi everyone,
I know that most of the people posting to this board are undergoing tremendous financial and personal strain, so I hope I'm not out of line in asking for a bit of a favor. I'm a graduate student in design at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and I'm preparing to delve into a year's worth of thesis-related studies on the process of moving under stressful situations (specifically, foreclosures and break-ups). I'll be looking into the items that people choose to take with them and choose to leave behind or sell, and what the sentimental or practical reasons are for doing so.
My ultimate goal is to reduce some of the stress inherent in such moves, if possible, and I'd much appreciate hearing from anyone that would be willing to share a bit of their experience. As much information as you'd be willing to give would be much appreciated, and all feedback will be held in the utmost confidentiality. Your name or personal information will NOT be used.
