The numbers of the available REO listings obviously represent an over supply of property. However, many properties at 2001/2002/2003 price values could not possibly be a bad investment? Contrary to the email that you sent, there are multiple offers on many, many properties, with qualified Buyers, who can't get through the system. Obviously, there are areas that differ from others as to desireability - But, there are plenty of Buyers out there who if the price is right, they are buying - and in that 5-10 year plan time frame, they would probably double their money. In the meanwhile, our government can continue to inject cash into the banking system, and while the non performing debts remain on the bank books instead of converting them into performing by Modifications or into cash by sales, the system will need another injection.
