Short sale in GA

I own a home in GA and it has been for sale for 10mos. Considering a short sale since values have dropped and I can't get what I owe. I have now moved out of state and need to sell immeditately or it will foreclose. I was told that GA lenders will no longer offer short sales effective end of Nov or Dec. Has anyone heard this?
