You are so right! It is easy to blame the homeowner for not being qualified to own a home; those are so few and far between it makes no sense to even bring in such an argument. As someone who is assisting homeowners in trouble, we discovered that the banks were not helping the homeowners because they do not own the note. So the homeowner fighting to keep their home will have to consult with a very savey loss mitigator who knows exactly what to say in order to get the banks to respond appropriately.
