One thing for everyone to keep in mind when contacting a lender is that if you are behind on payments you will often be routed to collections. These guys have little else on their minds then getting money out of you now. They are not the home retention or short sale people.

Great job, Jennifer. I am curious. Do you have the number of the Home Retention Department? Could you share it with us?
