I called this morning into the Home Retention Program of BofA. A lovely young lady answered and I explained the situation. She went to talk to her supervisor and came back to say as long as they show I have post dated a payment they will not proceed in the Intent to Accelerate. So I gave her my info and set up the payment for next week and she told me I would be just fine.

If you don't get into the right department when you have to deal with this kind of situation, some of the people there will just scare you. I didn't get much sleep last night because I thought I was losing my house.

My advice for anyone who comes into this kind of thing, take a deep breath and start calling. Don't settle on one persons advice from the Bank. Call every number you can find. The banks don't want the homes because they lose money. So if you think you can pay in the near future, keep trying to get through. Someone in the bank has the authority to say yes, we will take your money next week.
